Chocolate Bunnies

The girls both got a small chocolate bunny in their Easter basket this year. Earlier this week they had the opportunity to enjoy them after dinner. We stripped them down to their skivvies and let them dig in! Here are pictures of the aftermath!

Kid Country

After taking Bluebonnet pictures in Coppell we spent the evening playing at an amazing park called "Kid Country." We had a picnic dinner and played for a LONG time. Unfortunately my camera battery died when we were there, so I had to use an Internet photo of the park. None the less, we practically had to pry the girls off of the playground. Coppell isn't very close, but I still think we will go back and enjoy this park again.

Kid Country

Swinging!

Lucie was getting very sleepy!! Can you tell?

Bluebonnet Photos

This evening we went to take some photos in the Bluebonnets. I took these, but the purpose of the trip was to have the girls photos professionally taken by a buddy Erin. She is starting out her photography business (Brooke Shelby Photography), so we were happy to be some of her early clients. I haven't seen her photos yet, but these are some that I got with my camera! I'll post Erin's pictures when I can!

Lucie Rose... I couldn't get those straps to stay up!
Eloise Noelle (don't call the wildflower police, she's only 3!)

Mommy like....

Say hello to my new little friends! I got an extra special treat for my birthday this year! My family all pitched in to get me these cute little gold Tory Burch ballet flats. They feel like heaven on my feet (not an easy task for shoes to accomplish these days.) I might never take them off!

Pay no attention to the swollen puffy ankles attached. Focus on the gold cuteness with tortoise shell detail!!

33 Weeks Pregnant

At 33 Weeks BabyCenter.com says that the baby is now the size of a pineapple (minus the leaves!) They also say that Baby has passed the 17 inch mark and its skeleton is hardening. Baby's primary task now: gain weight! (Maybe that's why I feel hungry all the time...) Can you believe we have only 49 days left until the due date!? I am getting anxious to know what I am having!

Happy Easter!

This year we decided to stay home for Easter. It was a low key, family day! We missed seeing all the cousins and grandparents, but it was nice to experience a holiday at our own house. First we woke up and the girls found their baskets left by the Easter Bunny! They were so excited to look through their treats.

Lucie's basket (on the left) had bubbles, two new sippy cups, new lotion, princess body wash, chocolate bunny, a princess ball, shoes, socks, PJ's and a coloring book with big crayons! Eloise's basket (on the right) had a Dora paint set, Dora ball, pink converse, socks, PJ's, Dora sippy cup, Dora bubble bath, bubbles and a pinwheel.

After looking through the baskets we all enjoyed some breakfast (muffins and milk!)
Then it was time to put on our Easter best and go on an egg hunt!

Eloise found the candy filled eggs quickly.

Lucie found a few candy filled eggs but mostly stuck to the hard boiled eggs.
~~~
Next up mommy wanted to do a photo shoot of the girls!
Finally, it was time to go to church! It was so nice getting to see our pastor and our friends at the services! The sermon was awesome and we enjoyed listening to the Easter Story and talking about how "Jesus Lives!" The sanctuary was decorated beautifully, too! (Unfortunately, we forgot to take the camera!)
~~~
When we got home the girls took a nap and Mommy started preparing Easter dinner.
On the menu: Ham, green bean casserole, potato casserole, deviled eggs, fruit salad and rolls!

At last, we sat down and Eloise blessed our meal.
Her prayer: "God is great. God is Good. Thank you for Eloise's happy birthday, thank you for dinner, thank you for Easter. Jesus Lives! Amen."

I'm so proud of my little girls and my family. God has blessed us in so many ways! Happy Easter!

Egg Dying and Bunny Photos

We woke up this morning ready to dye our Easter eggs in preparation for tomorrow! It is such a fun tradition that the girls truly enjoy. Last year we did it with all of the cousins in Houston, but this year we are celebrating Jesus' Resurrection right here in McKinney at our house and in our own church!

Eloise getting an egg dying lesson from daddy before beginning.

Waiting on the eggs to soak up all of the bright colors!

Lucie enjoyed watching and playing with a plastic egg, because lets face it, giving a 1-year-old an egg isn't a great idea! (Maybe next year...)
Our finished product. (Tomorrow's deviled eggs...mmmm.)

~~~
After egg dying we had to run a few errands. Along the way we swung by Macy's and they were doing photos with a real Easter bunny! This was an unplanned photo shoot, which is why the girls are not coordinated or matching (you know me...)
Lucie, being my fearless child, loved the bunny! She wasn't being very gentle... so, I am not sure the bunny felt the same way.
Eloise, on the other hand, only liked the bunny if it was in it's cage. Therefore, no bunny in her photo (unless you include the giant stuffed one next to Lucie.)
Happy Easter Everyone!
Lucie 15 Month Stats
Lucie went to the pediatrician for her 15 month well visit on Wednesday. We missed her 12 month visit due to the craziness of the holidays so we had some catching up to do. We had to split all of her shots so she didn't get all 6 at once. So she had 3 on Wednesday and will get 4 at her 18 month visit (the three from this month plus one she would normally get at 18 months!) It breaks my heart every time they stick her, but I know its necessary! Here are her stats:
~~~
Weight: 22 Pounds 3 ounces (35%)
Length: 30 3/4 inches (53%)
Head Cir.: 19 inches (95%)
Here she is, all stripped down and ready for her physical. Lucie's favorite thing to do at the doctors office (sick or well) is push the rolling stool around the tiny room!
~~~
Can you believe this tiny thing will be a BIG sister in a little more than a month?!
Outside Playtime!
The weather has finally been pretty enough to enjoy some outdoor play time! Eloise got a cool new playhouse for her birthday from her Nanna and Pappy! Daddy set it up last weekend and the girls have been having a blast playing outside in their new playhouse all week. Here are the photos to prove it!Eloise, the hostess with the mostess! "Nanna and Pappy, come on over to my house and play!"Ding Dong! Sissy wants to come in and play!
Thanks Nanna and Pappy!!
Me too, Me too! I love it, too!!
