My Frist Etsy Purchase

I've been needing to get Eloise a little backpack to take to the gym and church. You know, a little somewhere she can keep her snacks, sippy cup, diapers, and belongings. It has gotten WAY to difficult to carry two diaper bags when going to church. I wanted a backpack that SHE could carry. So I surfed Etsy during nap time today and bought this cute toddler sized backpack!

This is the "stock photo" the seller used. I will post pictures of ours when Eloise's arrives!
I am so excited about my first Etsy purchase!

In Daddy's Shoes

I have posted before, that Eloise has a thing for shoes... I think I created a monster! She not only likes to model her own shoes, but evidently Daddy's as well. The other night I caught her trying some of them on. Here she is in his work boots....

Aren't those shoes SOOOOOOO purdy??? hehehe...

Lucie's 4 Month Stats

Lucie had her 4 month check up on April 21st. Here are her latest stats:
Weight: 11 Lbs 12.7 Oz- 13%
Length: 23 1/2 Inches- 22%
Head Cir.: 16 3/8 Inches- 66%
Her weight percentiles have dropped, so we are working on feeding more often. Since I am a nursing mommy, I have been feeling frustrated and guilty that I am not producing enough for little Lucie. The doctors have me taking Domperidone, Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle to help me out in that department. I would love to keep nursing, so pray that things will get better for us!
4 Month Milestones reached: Rolls over from front to back and back to front, Grasps on to toys, sits upright with assistance, eats solid foods, giggles (a lot), and recognises Mommy, Daddy and Big Sister!

Haircut!

I finally chopped it off!

Some of you wanted to see it, so here's the photo...

GRRRRR... Blogger won't let me turn the photo the right way!! Sorry for the pain in your neck!

My First T-shirt Quilt

One of the reasons it's been so long since I have blogged is because I have been working on a t-shirt quilt. If I have been lucky enough to get both girls to nap at the same time, I have been quilting! I got a sewing machine for my birthday this year and I signed up for a class at Joanne's. You might remember me mentioning my hesitation to throw away my old sorority shirts (See "1o Random Things About Yours Truly" ) Well, I found a use for them! I had been telling myself for years I was going to get a quilt made out of them. Instead, I decided to take on the task first hand! It was SO fun, and I plan to start working on one for Patrick next! Here are some photos of the finished product. The large squares are the t-shirt backs, and the small ones are the pocket art.

I used red yarn to "tie it off" since my sewing machine isn't a quilter (and I don't know how to hand quilt.... yet.)

p.s. thank you Patrick for being my "Quilt Display Stand"

Lucie's first Rice Cereal

It's official! Your second child grows up SO much faster than your first (at least it seems that way!) Lucie had her first taste of rice cereal. YUMMY! I have to admit, starting solid foods it one of my LEAST favorite milestones. It is so messy, and gooey! Plus, it's never been easy for either of my girls... neither of them picked up on it right away. BUT, we started. Sometimes I feel like it's torture. but Lucie is gradually getting better! Here are some of the photos from the big messy event!
